This guide is for patients who travel to Kırklareli from abroad, usually via Istanbul. It covers the practical side of the trip: how to get from the airport to the practice, which documents to bring, what to send us before you book anything, and which treatments fit into one day.

Dr. Kağan Cingöz's dermatology practice is in the centre of Kırklareli, on the European side of Türkiye: about 2–2.5 hours by car from Istanbul Airport and about 45 minutes from Edirne. The practice holds an international health tourism authorization certificate.

From Istanbul Airport to Kırklareli

  • Istanbul Airport (IST) is on the European side, like Kırklareli. The drive is about 190 km and takes roughly 2–2.5 hours on the Northern Marmara Motorway, without crossing the city centre or the Bosphorus.

  • Sabiha Gökçen (SAW) is on the Asian side. The drive crosses the Bosphorus and the city and takes considerably longer in traffic, so if you can choose, fly into IST.

  • Private transfer: a private VIP transfer from Istanbul Airport can be arranged. The driver meets you at arrivals; once your flights are booked, you send us the flight number and arrival time. The details are agreed in writing while we plan your visit.

  • On your own: rental cars are available at the airport. Intercity buses to Kırklareli run many times a day from Istanbul's bus terminals, some from the airport itself; the trip takes about 3–3.5 hours.

Arriving by car from Bulgaria or Greece

  • From Burgas: about 2 hours via the Malko Tarnovo–Dereköy border crossing.

  • From Edirne: about 45 minutes (Kapıkule crossing from Bulgaria, Pazarkule crossing from Greece).

  • From Alexandroupoli: about 2 hours to Edirne, then about 45 minutes more; alternatively via the Kipoi–İpsala crossing.

Documents

  • Passport or ID card: many nationalities enter Türkiye visa-free or with an e-Visa, and citizens of several European countries, including Bulgaria, Greece and Romania, can enter with a national ID card. Check the current rules for your passport on the official Turkish e-Visa website or with the Turkish consulate before you book.

  • Passport validity: Turkish rules require your passport to be valid for at least 60 days beyond the end of your permitted stay.

  • If you drive: driving licence, vehicle registration and a Green Card valid for Türkiye (the “TR” box must not be crossed out), plus the owner's written authorisation if the car is not yours.

  • Medical information: a list of the medicines you take, recent test results if you have them, and details of earlier cosmetic treatments (fillers, including permanent ones, threads, biostimulators, laser) with approximate dates.

  • Travel insurance: travel health insurance is recommended for any trip abroad.

What to send us before you book

  1. A message on WhatsApp or Viber (+90 555 209 09 39), in English: what bothers you, since when, and what you have already tried.

  2. Photos in daylight, without make-up or filters. For a mole, one close-up and one that shows where it is.

  3. Health details: medicines, allergies, pregnancy or breastfeeding, a pacemaker or other implanted device, metal implants in the treatment area, isotretinoin in recent months, a tendency to cold sores or keloid scars.

  4. Preliminary information: we tell you which options may be considered and how long the visit is likely to take. Photos give orientation, not a diagnosis; the assessment and the treatment plan are made at the examination.

  5. Your appointment: the time is planned around your arrival, so that you do not wait.

What can usually be done in one day

  • Examination of skin and hair problems, including a second opinion on psoriasis, eczema, rosacea, acne, hidradenitis or vitiligo

  • Mole check with dermoscopy; removal of a suspicious mole with histology (the result follows later)

  • Injectable treatments: anti-wrinkle injections, hyaluronic acid fillers, collagen biostimulators

  • Non-surgical lifting with micro-focused ultrasound (Ultraformer MPT) or monopolar radiofrequency (Volnewmer), one session

  • Q-switched laser for pigmentation; fractional CO₂ laser (one session, preferably outside the sunny season)

  • Trichoscopy and a first PRP or mesotherapy session for hair

Whether a treatment is done on the same day is decided at the examination. Sometimes the honest advice is to wait, or to start with something else.

What needs more than one visit

  • BBL photorejuvenation: usually 2–3 sessions, 4 weeks apart

  • Laser hair removal: 6–8 sessions, 4–6 weeks apart

  • Skin boosters and polynucleotides: 2–4 sessions, 2–4 weeks apart

  • PRP and mesotherapy for hair: a course of several sessions

  • Scars and stretch marks: 3–5 sessions

  • Chronic skin conditions: check-ups at the practice, following the plan made at the first visit

A second visit is planned so that it can be combined with a check-up, to save you an extra trip.

On the day

  • Arrival and examination, with 3D skin analysis or dermoscopy when needed.

  • Discussion of the plan and its realistic limits; written consent before any procedure.

  • The procedure, if it is suitable. Most take from a few minutes to about an hour.

  • Return the same day, or stay the night. Flying home the same day is possible with an early arrival and a late departure; a night in Kırklareli or Istanbul makes the day calmer.

After the procedure and the trip home

You receive written aftercare instructions. Any check-up takes place at the practice and is planned at the examination, where possible together with your next session. After many procedures it is sensible to avoid sauna, hammam and intense exercise for 24–48 hours and to protect your skin from the sun; your instructions say exactly what applies to you. If something worries you after you return home, call us. In an urgent situation, contact the nearest emergency service.

Language, payment and opening hours

  • Language: correspondence and the consultation are in English.

  • Payment: the fee is set at the examination and confirmed before any procedure. Card or cash; you receive a receipt for every payment. If you have private health insurance, ask us in advance which documents it requires.

  • Opening hours: Monday to Saturday, 10:00–18:15.

  • Address: İstasyon Mahallesi, Edirne Caddesi No:102, Kırklareli, Türkiye. The practice is on the main road coming from Edirne; search for “Kağan Cingöz” in Google Maps. There is street parking nearby.

Where to stay

Kırklareli has hotels in the town centre, a few minutes from the practice. Edirne, about 45 minutes away, offers more choice. If you combine the trip with Istanbul, you can stay there and use the transfer.

Frequently asked questions

Can I come without an appointment?

It is better not to. The appointment is planned around your travel time, so that you do not wait and the plan is ready.

Can I fly in and out on the same day?

Yes, if your flights allow it. Plan about 2–2.5 hours by car each way, the time at the practice and the check-in time your airline recommends.

Is the result guaranteed?

No, and no honest doctor can promise one. At the examination you get a realistic assessment and a plan you can decide on.
