Short answer: Hair mesotherapy delivers vitamins, minerals, amino acids and sometimes minoxidil-like agents into the scalp with fine micro-injections. It is a supportive treatment for reactive and early pattern hair loss, with weaker evidence than medical therapy and, in most comparisons, than PRP.

Suitable cases

  • Telogen effluvium in the recovery phase, especially with poor nutritional status

  • Early androgenetic alopecia as an add-on to minoxidil

  • Patients who cannot tolerate topical treatment

Not suitable

Scarring alopecias, active scalp infection or dermatitis, uncontrolled alopecia areata, pregnancy, and patients seeking a replacement for medical treatment.

Mesotherapy or PRP?

PRP uses your own growth factors and has more consistent data in androgenetic alopecia; mesotherapy is a nutritional cocktail. Neither replaces minoxidil or finasteride, and neither should be started without trichoscopy.

Sessions

Usually 4-6 sessions at 2-4 week intervals, then maintenance. Response is judged at 3 months with photographs.

Patients from Bulgaria and Greece

Our practice is in Kırklareli, a short drive from the Bulgarian and Greek borders. Consultation, trichoscopy and the first treatment are usually completed in a single visit; follow-up runs by photo and WhatsApp. See our hair loss treatments page for the overall approach.
