Dr. Kağan Cingöz, MD — Dermatologist in Kırklareli, Türkiye
My name is Kağan Cingöz. I am a specialist in dermatology and venereology. I see patients at my private practice in central Kırklareli — İstasyon Mahallesi, Edirne Caddesi — in dermatology and non-surgical aesthetic dermatology.
I graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine. I completed my specialty training at the Department of Dermatology, Manisa Celal Bayar University Faculty of Medicine. I served as founding faculty member and head of the Department of Dermatology and Venereology at Kırklareli University Faculty of Medicine. Since 2023 I have been working in my own practice.
I have been practising medicine in Kırklareli for six years. On this page you will find my training, my scientific work and my approach to patients. Because when you choose a doctor, what you need to know is not a list of procedures, but who performs them, with what knowledge, and with what understanding of their limits.
Education and professional background
Medical education — Ankara University Faculty of Medicine I received my medical degree from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine.
Dermatology residency — Manisa Celal Bayar University Faculty of Medicine I completed my specialty training in dermatology and venereology at the Department of Dermatology, Celal Bayar University Faculty of Medicine. During my residency I worked mainly on psoriasis, hidradenitis suppurativa, autoimmune bullous diseases and dermoscopy. My research in that period focused on the systemic effects of biologic agents in patients with psoriasis.
Founding faculty member and head of department — Kırklareli University Faculty of Medicine I established the Department of Dermatology and Venereology at Kırklareli University Faculty of Medicine and served as its head. I took part in developing the faculty's dermatology curriculum and in structuring its outpatient service.
Private practice — Kırklareli Since 2023 I have been working at my own practice in central Kırklareli. Both medical dermatology and non-surgical aesthetic dermatology are carried out here. Acne, psoriasis, rosacea, eczema, hair loss, fungal infections, mole monitoring and skin cancer screening are among the conditions assessed at the practice.
How I work
Over the past decade, aesthetic dermatology has become one of the fields in which patients are most often misinformed. For that reason, there are several points on which my position is clear.
Not every procedure suits every patient. The fact that a device is present in the practice does not mean it is right for the patient in front of me. During consultations I frequently say "this procedure will not benefit you" or "let us run this test first."
I do not guarantee results. With energy-based devices, dermal fillers and botulinum toxin, the response varies from person to person. I would advise you to question any clinic that commits to an exact number of sessions or a definite result at the first consultation.
Excess hair growth, pigmentation, hair loss and acne are often not cosmetic matters. Coarse hair developing rapidly on the chin may be the first sign of polycystic ovary syndrome. Diffuse hair loss may turn out to be caused by thyroid disease or iron deficiency. Distinguishing between these presentations requires a dermatological examination. This is why aesthetic consultations, too, begin with an examination.
Combination treatment is built around the indication, not around using a device. Reaching different depths with different energy sources makes sense in some patients and is an unnecessary expense in others. Which of the two applies to you is decided during the examination.
I do not present procedures I don't perform as though I did. Hair transplantation, surgical facelift and liposuction are not performed at my practice. Where appropriate, I refer patients to the relevant specialty.
Teaching
I train physicians in Türkiye and abroad in non-surgical medical aesthetics and energy-based device applications. At scientific meetings and hands-on courses I serve as a trainer in dermal fillers, botulinum toxin, mesotherapy, microfocused ultrasound and monopolar radiofrequency. To date I have trained many physicians from countries around the world.
For me, teaching is less a second occupation than a field in which clinical practice is held to account. To be able to explain a technique to other physicians, you first have to know its limits and its complications with complete clarity.
Areas of special interest
Medical dermatology: acne and acne scarring, psoriasis, rosacea, atopic dermatitis and eczema, hair and nail disorders, hidradenitis suppurativa, mole monitoring with dermoscopy and skin cancer screening.
Aesthetic dermatology: botulinum toxin, dermal fillers, mesotherapy and biostimulators, skin tightening with microfocused ultrasound and monopolar radiofrequency, fractional carbon dioxide (CO₂) laser, pigmentation treatments with broadband light (BBL) and Q-switched laser, laser hair removal under dermatologist supervision.
Scientific work
I have published articles in national and international journals, as well as book chapters and congress presentations. My work centres mainly on psoriasis and its systemic treatments, hidradenitis suppurativa, cutaneous leishmaniasis and dermoscopy.

Kırklareli, Thrace and cross-border patients
My practice is in central Kırklareli, in the Thrace region of north-western Türkiye. It is 20 minutes from Lüleburgaz and around 45 minutes from Edirne. I have patients who travel regularly from Babaeski, Vize, Pınarhisar, Demirköy and Kofçaz, as well as patients from Tekirdağ, Çorlu and Çerkezköy.
For patients who travel, appointments are planned accordingly. Where more than one area or procedure is involved, we complete as much as possible within the same appointment and adjust the intervals between sessions to the journey.
My practice holds an International Health Tourism Authorisation Certificate (Uluslararası Sağlık Turizmi Yetki Belgesi). Care is also provided to patients coming from Bulgaria and Greece.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a consultation cost? Consultation and procedure fees are set on the basis of the Turkish Medical Association's minimum fee schedule for the relevant year. Under the Ministry of Health's regulation on promotion in healthcare, fee information cannot be published on a website. You can obtain current pricing by telephone when booking your appointment.
How do I book an appointment? Appointments are booked by telephone or via WhatsApp. Opening hours are Monday to Saturday, 10:00–18:15.
What happens at the first consultation? At the first visit your history is taken and, where needed, dermoscopic examination and skin analysis are performed. Depending on your complaint, laboratory tests may be requested. The treatment plan and any alternatives are discussed at this visit. If appropriate, a procedure may be carried out the same day. This is not a requirement, however; taking time to think it over is entirely normal.
Are only aesthetic procedures performed? No. Medical dermatology patients are also seen at the practice. Psoriasis, eczema, urticaria, fungal infections, hair loss, mole monitoring and skin cancer screening are among the conditions assessed here.
Who performs the procedures? Medical procedures are performed by me. Applications such as laser hair removal and medical skin care are carried out by our trained clinical team under dermatologist supervision.
Can I send a photograph and get a remote opinion? A diagnosis cannot be made and treatment cannot be planned from a photograph. A photograph can only give a preliminary impression for the purpose of appointment prioritisation. Assessment is made through examination.
How does the process work for international patients? Applications from abroad are accepted under the International Health Tourism Authorisation Certificate. Patients coming from Bulgaria and Greece are advised to contact us in advance so that we can assist with appointment scheduling and communication.
