Botox, Filler or HIFU: What Actually Fixes Facial Sagging?

'I want Botox for my sagging jawline.' I hear it weekly - and the answer usually surprises: Botox does not fix sagging. Each tool does one job, and half of a good result is matching the right tool to the right problem.

Botulinum toxin: for dynamic wrinkles

It relaxes muscles. Excellent for the upper face (forehead, frown lines, crow's feet), the masseter in teeth grinding, and excessive sweating. It does not lift descended tissue.

Fillers: for lost volume

They restore volume and support contours - cheekbones, lips, folds. Planned conservatively, results look natural. Overdone, the face inflates - which I refuse to do.

HIFU and radiofrequency: for laxity

Here is the real answer to 'it dropped'. Focused ultrasound (Ultraformer MPT, Ultherapy PRIME) targets deep layers down to the SMAS; monopolar radiofrequency (Volnewmer) volumetrically tightens the skin itself. Simplified: ultrasound pulls from below, radiofrequency tightens from above. In most faces over 45 the truth is a combination - which is why I developed the VOLFORMER protocol, now taught to physicians internationally.

How we decide

Not from a menu but from examination: where the laxity sits, how much fat exists and where, what AURA 3D skin analysis shows. You leave with a plan and realistic expectations - and sometimes with my honest 'you don't need anything yet'.

My clinic is in Kırklareli, Turkey - 2 hours from Istanbul and an easy drive from Edirne, the Bulgarian coast and northern Greece.
