7 Questions to Ask Before Any HIFU Treatment
Updated: Sep 2
Ultrasound lifting is an excellent treatment - when done with the right device, by the right person, on the right plan. From the outside, though, every offer looks identical. Here are the questions I would ask as a patient - they work in Turkey, Bulgaria, Greece or anywhere else:
1. What is the exact brand and model?
Not 'German HIFU' or 'latest generation'. Specifically: manufacturer and model. Original platforms are verifiable online in seconds.
2. Are the cartridges original?
The cartridge (transducer) delivers the energy. Originals carry serial numbers, limited shot counts and serious prices. That is why 'HIFU on flash sale' is technically impossible with original consumables.
3. Who performs the treatment?
A physician? A dermatologist? Or an 'operator' after a two-day course? Beneath facial skin run the facial nerve, vessels and tissues of different densities. Whoever holds the device must know where they are.
4. Is anatomy assessed beforehand?
If you are on the treatment bed ten minutes after walking in, the session follows a template - not your face.
5. How are depths and settings chosen - and why?
A correct answer contains an explanation: which zones, which cartridge, what depth, to what end.
6. How are fat-loss risk zones protected?
Focused ultrasound can melt fat. In some zones that is desirable; in others, absolutely not. A slim face with thinned fat is planned completely differently from a fuller one.
7. What should I realistically expect - and not?
An honest answer includes limits: how much improvement is realistic, when the full effect appears (usually 2-3 months), and when the procedure is not indicated at all. Whoever promises 'a facelift result' is selling, not consulting.
