Non-Surgical Facelift and HIFU Treatment Face Reformer Kırklareli
Non-Surgical Facelift and HIFU Treatment Face Reformer Kırklareli
With ageing, loss of skin elasticity, sagging of facial contours and reduced definition of the jawline are inevitable processes. While surgical facelift is an effective method for addressing these concerns, non-surgical facelift options offer an important alternative for those who do not wish to undergo surgery.
Among non-surgical facelift methods, HIFU (High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound) technology is a treatment option that achieves tightening by reaching the deep layers of the skin without requiring surgical intervention.
At our clinic, non-surgical facelift and Face Reformer treatments are performed by dermatology specialist Dr. Kağan Cingöz.
What Is HIFU Technology?
HIFU is a technology that delivers micro-focused ultrasound energy to target tissues beneath the skin, creating thermal injury and thereby triggering the body's natural regeneration process.
The ultrasound energy is focused on layers at depths of 1.5 mm, 3.0 mm and 4.5 mm beneath the skin without damaging the surface. The controlled thermal effect at these depths causes contraction of collagen fibres and initiates new collagen production.
The most important feature of HIFU technology is its ability to reach the SMAS (Superficial Musculoaponeurotic System) layer — the same layer targeted in surgical facelift operations — using ultrasound. This layer forms the support structure of the face, and tightening in this layer produces a visible lifting effect.
Which Areas Is HIFU Applied To?
HIFU treatment can be applied to many areas of the face and body:
Facial area: Forehead and brow lifting, periorbital tightening, cheek area lifting, jawline definition, neck sagging treatment and reduction of double chin appearance are the most common areas where HIFU is applied.
Neck and décolletage: The neck skin is one of the thinnest and most delicate areas of the body. Tightening in the neck and décolletage area can be achieved with HIFU.
Body areas: Some HIFU systems can also be used for skin tightening in areas such as the inner arms, abdominal area, above the knees and buttocks.
Who Is HIFU Treatment Suitable For?
HIFU treatment is generally considered in the following situations:
Individuals experiencing mild to moderate sagging of the face and neck who do not prefer surgical facelift may be suitable candidates for HIFU.
In terms of age range, patients between 30 and 65 years of age can generally benefit from HIFU. However, since every patient's skin and degree of sagging is different, the treatment decision must be made following assessment by a dermatology specialist.
In patients with advanced sagging, HIFU alone may not provide sufficient results. In such cases, surgical options or combined approaches may be evaluated.
The treatment is not performed on pregnant or breastfeeding women, individuals with active skin infection in the treatment area, areas with metal implants, or individuals with serious systemic diseases.
How Is the HIFU Procedure Performed?
HIFU treatment is carried out at our clinic as follows:
First, the patient's facial structure and degree of sagging are assessed. The treatment plan, application areas and ultrasound depths to be used are determined on an individual basis.
Ultrasound gel is applied to the treatment area. During the procedure, the device is moved across the skin surface, delivering ultrasound energy to the designated points.
The duration of the procedure varies according to the treatment area. Full face treatment takes approximately 40–60 minutes, while regional applications take 20–30 minutes.
During the procedure, mild stinging, a sensation of warmth or tingling may be felt as the ultrasound energy reaches the deep tissues. This sensation is normal and indicates that the treatment is reaching the tissues.
There is no recovery period after the procedure. The patient can return to daily activities immediately.
When Are HIFU Results Seen?
After HIFU treatment, results appear in two stages:
In the early period (first few weeks), mild tightening may be felt due to contraction of collagen fibres.
The actual results begin to become visible 2–3 months after treatment, and improvement continues progressively up to the 6th month. During this period, the body produces new collagen and skin tightening increases.
The longevity of results varies depending on the patient's age, skin structure and lifestyle. Generally, the effect can be maintained for 12–18 months. Your dermatologist may recommend repeat sessions at appropriate intervals.
Every patient's response to treatment is different. Results may vary from person to person.
Before and After HIFU
Before the procedure: No special preparation is required. However, there should be no active skin infection or open wound in the treatment area. The procedure is postponed on sunburnt skin.
After the procedure: Mild redness, oedema or sensitivity may occur and usually resolves within a few hours to a few days. Use of sunscreen is recommended. You can return to daily activities immediately.
Treatments That Can Be Combined with HIFU
HIFU treatment can be applied on its own or combined with other treatments as part of a comprehensive facial rejuvenation programme:
The combination of botox with HIFU offers tightening and wrinkle treatment together.
The combination of fillers with HIFU provides both tightening and volume enhancement to the face.
The combination of mesotherapy or PRP with HIFU improves skin quality while supporting the tightening effect.
Combined treatment plans are created on an individual basis by the dermatology specialist.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Is HIFU non-surgical facelift painful?
During the procedure, mild to moderate stinging or a sensation of warmth may occur as the ultrasound energy reaches the deep tissues. Most patients can tolerate the procedure. Pain management can be applied in sensitive areas if desired.
How many HIFU sessions are required?
For most patients, a single session can provide sufficient results. Depending on the degree of sagging, your dermatologist may recommend more than one session. Repeat sessions are generally planned at 6–12 month intervals.
Is there a recovery period after HIFU?
No. HIFU is a non-surgical procedure and does not require a recovery period. You can return to your daily activities immediately after the procedure. There may be mild redness or swelling, but this usually resolves within a few hours.
Are HIFU results permanent?
HIFU results are not permanent as the ageing process continues. However, the collagen increase achieved through treatment can be maintained for up to 12–18 months. With regular repeat sessions, results can be preserved in the long term.
Should I choose surgical facelift instead of HIFU?
This depends entirely on your degree of sagging. For mild to moderate sagging, HIFU can be an effective alternative. For advanced sagging, surgery may be more appropriate. This assessment is made by your dermatologist following examination.
What technology is used for non-surgical facelift at your clinic?
Our clinic uses Ultraformer MPT (Face Reformer) micro-focused ultrasound (HIFU) technology for non-surgical facelift treatments. Detailed information about the treatment device and protocol can be obtained during your consultation appointment.
